Today was all about concrete.
I skipped my run so that I could spend a half hour moving wheel barrows full of concrete to the back of the barn. Once they got closer to the middle and you didn't have to run as far they didn't need as many guys running.
I have a new respect for what Sherry used to do.
Wow. Those things are heavy and I'd like to meet the guy who decided that a wheel barrow should only have one wheel. I'd kick him in the shin. Hard.
I didn't drop any loads, but I came close twice. Whew. Apparently there's a case of beer on the line for the first guy to tip over a load.
Gherhardt did an amazing job on the floor and as I type he's wrapping up the babysitting part of the job. I called him "the boss" and he said that he wasn't the boss – the concrete was. That was a little esoteric for me, so I moved on.
I'm a little nervous about the amount of stuff that's left to do before winter, but now that the concrete is poured it's pretty much up to me to get the work done, so at least I'm not waiting
on more contractors to finish up before I can get some more stuff done.

We also had the pad from yesterday's job poured today and Sherry and I had a chance to put our initials in the concrete.
Call me a hopeless romantic but I honestly don't think that I would make a very good host if I wasn't. I'm really looking forward to creating a comfortable, secluded, romantic and welcoming atmosphere here for you to enjoy and without that touch of romanticism I think there would be a certain lack of depth to the feel.
I know that the romantic setting here is Bound to Please!
