What does your Saturday look like?

We decided to take it relatively easy today (Saturday). Sherry had to work first thing in the morning and I had to make up for a couple of hours that I missed yesterday.

Surprisingly that worked out really well. I'm at my sharpest first thing in the morning and the sun doesn't get bright enough to see anything until 7:30 or 8.

The reason that I missed a couple of hours yesterday is that Anton came in to finish the plumbing. We now have in floor heat! Whohoo!

It looks like it cost us about $5 or so in wood to heat the concrete slab from 55^o to 75^o overnight. That seems pretty cool. We'll have to see what it's like when the weather outside is frightful and the firebox is burning so delightful(ly).

(Just as a side note I was introduced to a woman this past week and she used an adverb – correctly – where most people would have used an adjective (incorrectly). I forget which one right now and it doesn't matter – I didn't hear a word that she said after her adverb because I was so impressed with her chose of words. Turns out she's a teacher. That explains it).

I had to take a picture of Anton's work before I covered it in insulation. It's so pretty, but the Central Boiler runs between 170 and 185 and the pipes get too hot to touch. And I don't want to be losing all that heat either.

I also took a picture of the thermostat – that was more for me than you, so unless you want to see it, I'm keeping it all for myself.

Oh, hey, tonight is date night. We've been looking for a nice bed for the Southern Comfort room and we're thinking about a Queen Poster bed – we think that would be nice blend of practical and whimsical. What do you think?

After furniture shopping we'll likely curl up in front of the TV and just rest for the night – that sounds like a Date Night that is Bound To Please!
