We've made a ton of progress here. We're working in the attic to make sure that the power to the new Southern Comfort Room is clean and has three wires instead of just two.
The wiring that's in the attic is really solid but only has two wires in the cable. That means that the ground wire of the plugs in the room right now don't actually connect to anything. All of the wires that leave the electrical panel have their ground wires connected, so somewhere in the attic they've abandoned the ground wire. I can fix that.
We've been cutting holes in things, drilling through things and generally making a huge mess so that when you get here everything will be fit and sound and really, really comfy.
In other news we installed our 48 bushel hopper yesterday. Our Heat for Less guy came and we all assembled the hopper – it looks fantastic and now I can load up the Huge Hopper with 48 bushels instead of the standard 11 bushel one that comes with the stove.
While we were getting ready for the new shower in the SCR we discovered that we have 1 inch thick solid wood walls behind the drywall – inside and outside of the 2x4's that hold up the house. That's really unusual, but the cool thing is that they're 16" wide. I have photos here somewhere.
We've booked the insulation guy so that we can get the insulation blown into the walls and foam sprayed on the walls in the crawl space. That'll be nice – we can start keeping some of that nice Heat for Less heat inside the house instead of it all leaking out overnight.
With all the work that we're doing in the creepy, creepy attic I know that your first stay here is Bound to Please!
