It’s now official

It's started! We've officially put up the tree and the Christmas Village. This is the first year that we've had a real mantle to put the village on and it's pretty cool.

We're hosting a dinner here tomorrow – the first big meal with more than one couple showing. There'll be five couples (including us) and we've been whipping our house into shape for the big meal. There'll be photos of the inside of the building up shortly. That's cool.

We had a really nice time decorating for the meal – it's a Christmas theme since this will be the last get together that my parents will be at before they head to Florida for winter. They won't be in town when we all get together for Christmas so this is, in effect, their Christmas dinner.

I'm so pleased to see my artwork on the walls – and I can't wait to tell you the stories behind the photos that we've put up. Make sure you ask about the waterfall that was at the end of the Baker's Brook hike. That's quite a story!

With all of the effort that we put into decorating (even for something as temporary as a single meal!) I'm sure that when you're here the rooms are Bound to Please!
