It turns out you don't need to spend a fortune to get an excellent product – you just need to be in the right place at the right time with cash.
We drove into Rona today to get some (a bunch of!) supplies for the upcoming torrent of activity:
5000 drywall screws – check.
20 electrical outlets – check.
12 light switches – check.
5 interior doors – check.
20' extension ladder – check.
And the list goes on, I think you get what I mean.
We were tooling around the store when we saw a toilet on sale for $50 off – it's a nice toilet with a 6L flush and 800g of pushing power (which we
need – I'm a runner and I love broccoli). Ok – toilet? Check.
After we put the toilet in the cart (it was a BIG cart) we ran into Ken who worked with us on a previous (also large) order. We asked him about getting a 10% discount with a credit card and he said he could do better than that! He showed us how to save 25% off our first purchase.
Cool!
Ok, back to the store – lighting? Check. Fans – check. Junction boxes – check. Kitchen sink – check. (Ok, we didn't get a kitchen sink, but pretty much everything but). It actually took us two full trips to get everything home. Yikes!
The reason that I'm writing this
post is that I picked up a Biometric Deadbolt. The bolt reads up to four different user's finger prints and unlocks the deadbolt without a key. I've wanted one of these silly things for years and there was one on the clearance table for $50. Ha! That little sucker is mine! And as it turns out the 25% discount applies to final sale items. Wow.
For $37.50 I got a Biometric Deadbolt. Now, there's a deal that is Bound To Please!
