I love patterns

It seems that we have a pattern here at Bound To Please: Rip, Renew, Restore, Repeat.

(I love alliteration!)

First we Rip something apart (usually completely!) then we Renew whatever we're working on, Restore the space and then do that over and over and over and…

Most recently we did my office floors (which will likely turn into a rentable bedroom at some point in the future!)

We're finally on the Restore step and hopefully it'll be a little bit before the Repeat kicks in (which is always does).

The floors are finished and look fantastic, but I'm still operating from a temporary office while we wait for the new desk to be built. Hopefully that'll come sooner rather than later.

We seem to manage to involve most of the house when we do our projects too. Sherry and I are having a few couples over tonight and Sherry's been working like a madman (madwoman?) for the last couple of days trying to get rid of all the dust and clutter so we'll have a comfy place to sit and enjoy.

It's nice to be between the Restore and Rip stages – I may spend a little time here and do an art project or something. Whatever we end up doing… with this much momentum… I'm sure it's Bound to Please!
