We just got back from a week away in Jamaica.
Ahhhh.
As a Professional Host I know the effort that it takes to make someone feel welcome.
Couples Swept Away did (almost) everything they needed to do in order to make us feel very welcome.
The food was incredible and we shared some unbelievable meals with (new) friends and family.
I had a meal that started with Raw Tuna Tenderloin and then passed through Lamb and Lionfish. It was the most fun that my tastebuds have ever had.
The beach was fun and the local sights were incredibly beautiful. I think Sherry would like to take some of the sunshine and tropical weather (and plants!) back here…
We had an amazing time and got some wonderful photos to keep the memories fresh and the stories flowing.
The next time you're here make sure you ask to see the album!

Back in March (I can't remember where I posted it) we considered getting a solar array to generate revenue.
That sort of fell through because our power lines were a little old here.
We lost touch with our guy who was helping us through the process and out of the blue we get a call from The New Guy last week.
He updated the file and let us know that the last hop to the Grid was being finished in Kingsville (about 20 minutes from here). We should be able to get on line in the next little while!
Cool, so we're getting ready to start building (brrrr!) and we'll be doing a Locates shortly (early next week I think).
We'll be putting in two 5kW Deger Tracker units and I'm pretty sure that because we registered in March that we're eligible for the old rates (which will almost certainly be higher than the new ones in December – thanks to the provincial election!). That's pretty cool.
We'll keep you posted with pictures over the next little while.

Maybe there is something to be said in favour of Global Warming.
We were out in our short sleeve shirts this weekend mowing the grass.
Dang – it's November 6th and we're mowing the grass. In short sleeves (did I mention that?)
We're also in the process of choosing a place to put our new Solar Panels. We have an offer to receive our Offer to Connect pending the return of our Form C (which we filled on online… so I don't know how to return it – I think it's already there).
Once we have an Offer to Connect we need to get a Conditional Contract from OPA and then a truckload of money needs to be collected from somewhere (we're thinking of raiding our RRSPs, since we already own the money…)
Yikes!
By the time you visit we should have planted well over 1000 new trees and be generating Solar Power for the grid. How much more ecofriendly can we be?
Oh and I was joking about Global Warming Merits.
